Bud is a sweet little boy with large loving eyes. He came to HHAF from a local animal control agency where his time had simply ran out. Bud is a middle aged boy of about 7 years old. He would love to find a forever home where he can relax and enjoy life. He loves attention from humans and would do well with all ages. Bud weighs in at 28 pounds but is working on reclaiming his youthful figure through the help of proper diet and exercise.

News

After many years working in the Animal Control industry of North Carolina. Cheryl Routh saw first hand the need for another option for the homeless animals of the area. The county shelters were extremely overcrowded as they remain today. adoption programs were almost non-existent with over 90 percent of the homeless being doomed to euthanasia due to lack of funds and space. A better option for these innocent lives needed desperately to be found. Happy Hills Animal Foundation was "born" 25 years ago out of a dream for a better option!!!!
In 1986 this dream took shape as Happy Hills Animal Foundation. Through the years the foundation has reached out statewide and with internet technology nationwide. By 1989 the rescue work had grown so much that Happy Hills Animal Foundation was incoporated as a non-profit organization.
Many changes have been seen through the past 25 years but the purpose of the foundation has always remained the same. Our mission is to furnish meals, veterinary care, and love for the abandoned and abused animals that we shelter. We find responsible loving homes for as many of these animals as possible. Through spay/neuter education and by altering all the animals we adopt out, we will reduce the number of unwanted animals born in our community.
